FAQs
Q. How many people can join a Frontline Team?

A. Each Frontline Team must have at least five (5) members.

Q. How do I recruit people to join a Frontline Team?

A. You can recruit teens from anywhere 9th -12th graders hang out, i.e., schools, hangouts, communitycenters, churches, etc...

Q. What if I have friends who are below 9th grade, but want to participate in Frontline?

A. Although the Frontline program is designed for 9th - 12th graders, it's a great idea to involve younger kids (7th & 8th graders) in mentoring projects. Contact (601) 362-0740 for more information about FREE, a program involving Frontline with seventh and eighth graders. However, only 9th- 12th grade students are eligible to become Frontline members.

Q. Can an existing club become a Frontline Team?

A. Yes! Any organization that conducts activities promoting healthy lifestyles and/or community service may register as a Frontline Team. Existing teams have been formed through organizations such as:

SADD
National Honor Society
Key Club
Student Council
Youth Groups
Performance
Drama Teams

Q. Can I use the Frontline symbol to design my own Frontline T-shirt and other incentive items?

A. All incentive items areprovided by The Partnership for a Healthy Mississippi. If you would like to use the Frontline logo on any item, please call sharon.garrison@healthy-miss.org or call 601-362-0740 or (800) PHM-5437.

Q. Exactly how many teams and students are involved to date?

A. There are nearly 500 teams and over 9,000 high school students involved in Frontline.

Q. What types of activities do Frontline teams do?

A. From visiting with legislators at the state capitol to writing letters to editors of local and state papers, Frontline members are involved in a number of advocacy activities.

Q. What counts as a Frontline activity?

A. An activity is when a group of students promotes healthy lifestyles by advocating, educating, passing out information and/or promoting Frontline. Participation in Partnership events such as Lobbypalooza and regional conferences are considered activities. An activity is an opportunity for you to share your passion for healthy lifestyles with other people. Sorry, but your Frontline team meetings do not count as activities.

Q. How long does it take to receive incentives?

A. Approximately two weeks after we receive completed activity report forms.

Q. Does my Frontline Team have to do the activity listed for a particular month, or can we choose our own?

A. Because Frontline is a statewide movement, we would prefer you to follow our suggested activity themes for each month listed on page 13 of your Frontline Sponsor Handbook.

Q. How often should I turn in the Frontline Activity reports?

A. You should turn in the activity reports monthly to the Frontline Coordinator. This way the student will receive an item every month.

Q. How can I get more information about Frontline?

A. If you want to know more about Frontline or any of the team activities, contact (601) 362-0740.
